These patented album pages offer a combination of features which has eluded virtually all other albums available for sale. How do Window Frames® preserve photographs?
Window Frames are completely acid-free and meet or exceed the archival standards of the Library of Congress for long-term storage as established in ANSI/NISO Z39.48-1992 for permanence of paper. Prints slide fully recessed behind a top sheet (the frame), are removable and require neither plastic nor adhesives for positioning. The result is a professional looking mount via a surprisingly easy process. All Window Frames leaves are gilded with either gold or silver. Gilt edging is a centuries old, fine bookmaking process that keeps moisture out of the pages and thus preserve your special photos. Albums have a matching gold ring mechanism for the gold-edged pages. When ordering additional leaves, be sure and specify the edge that will match your album. Blank, heavyweight sheets are available and suitable for mounting other photo sizes, invitations, or memorabilia. Lined sheets provide space for notes, or can be used as guest book pages at an event and then included with the special occasion photos. When you consider the album’s capacity, remember that four of the blank or lined sheets equal the thickness of one Window Frames leaf. The blank and lined sheets come in packages of 12. Will any size photo fit into the frames?
No. Each frame is carefully designed to accommodate just one size. However, you can include a combination of frames in an album to display a variety of sizes. How many leaves come with the album?
The standard Small Window Frame Photo Album comes with 12 leaves to accommodate 4” x 6” photos. The 12 leaves are packed in four sets of three leaves each. Each set contains one frame size to fit a specific photo size. You can specify any combination of four sets that fit that album size.
Large Album comes with 12 leaves and holds up to 48 photos.
X-Large Album comes with 18 leaves and hold up to 72 photos.
